Explore digital printmaking techniques on glass.
New digital technologies are making it possible for glass artists to produce decal transfers from imagery as diverse as drawings and photographs. When combined with other glassmaking processes rich and varied imagery can be created.
On this course you will be able to experiment with imagery such as high contrast photos, graphics and text to transfer onto fused glass projects. Using laser print technology and specialist fire-on photo decal paper you will produce digital imagery that can be permanently fused onto glass resulting in vintage sepia effects. The course will also include working in fusing glass colours and combinations of etched stencil resists and decal transfers.
